#30DaysOfGratitude Day 2: #SomethingYouSeeEveryday

Day 2: #SomethingYouSeeEveryday
My Bed.

If you know me, you know I value sleep. I don’t like being woken up, most days out of the week I don’t like waking up, and if I could get a good 8 hours of sleep I’m usually in a good mood. And even though this post is dedicated to my bed, I can sleep almost anywhere. Sleep is good, sleep is my friend. Because I love sleep so much I am grateful for my bed. No joke. When I go to sleep at night I say my prayers and I thank G-O-D for the roof over my head and the bed I sleep on.  I also like pillows and I love dreaming (most nights). I dream in color and in detail so it’s usually fun to remember my dreams in the morning and I keep saying I’m going to start writing them down and make a book of dreams (still pending) lol…

Since I can remember I’ve always liked my sleep. When I was in school I would rather go to sleep early and wake up extra early to finish homework/studying as opposed to pushing through the night. Like I said, sleep is good and it’s not just me who thinks so! I don’t have some crazy sentimental connection to my bed even though it’s so comfy and is always there for me, so I decided to share with you some wonderful benefits of sleep brought to you by…

  1. Improved memory
  2. Longer life… er maybe a better quality of life
  3. Curb inflammation
  5. Be a winner…in terms of athletes sleep provides more stamina
  6. Academic success
  7. Sharpen attention
  8. Maintain a healthy weight
  10. Avoid accidents
  11. Avoid depression…or just a bad mood

Well, if you didn’t know now you do! Get some rest and don’t take for granted the place you’re able to lay your head because not everybody has that luxury! And the people who don’t have that luxury don’t get to reap all the benefits of sleep so like I said, don’t take it for granted. Hug your bed tonight and sweet dreams, friends!
